Asian Development Bank Scholarship Program (ADB) is a Fully funded scholarship program funded by the Japan Government.

There are committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate poverty.

The Asian Development Scholarship funds around 300 students from Asia and Pacific countries to pursue Master’s Degree programs in the universities specified by the ADB located in 9 countries.

ADB promotes you to participate in the fields of economics, management sciences, technology, law and public policy, and other developmental fields.

Aims to uplift developing countries by investing in their human capital and enabling them to contribute to their home countries.

Grants: University full tuition fee will be provided. The Government of Japan supports the grant.

Eligibility: Applicant must be a national of an ADB member country.

  • Applicant must be under 35 years old at the time of application, In exceptional cases, the age limit is 45 years.

Ineligibility Criteria:

  • Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management and staff of ADB, consultants, and relatives of the aforementioned.
  • Staff of JSP-designated institutions can’t apply to their own institution.
  • Applicants living or working in a country other than his/her home country.
  • Applicants who are already enrolled in graduate degree program or who have already completed graduate degree program
  • Undergraduate studies, distance learning program, short-term training, conferences, seminars, thesis writing, and research projects.

1. Full Tuition Fees

The ADB scholarship covers full tuition fees for the duration of your study program. This includes all compulsory academic fees such as tuition, course-related field trips, and expenses for research projects.

2. Living Allowance

The scholarship also provides a living allowance to assist with living expenses such as rent, food, and transportation. The living allowance amount depends on the city and institution you will attend.

3. Travel Expenses
