Mercy Johnson Ozioma, Princess Mercy Johnson-Okojie is a Nigerian actress, film director, and film producer.

She was born on 28 August 1984 and hails from Okene in Kogi State. She is the fourth child in a family of seven. She started her primary education in Calabar, Cross River State.

Born in Lagos State to a former naval officer, Mr/Mrs. Daniel Johnson, and his wife Elizabeth. Her father, being a naval officer, was later transferred to Lagos State, where she continued her education at the Nigerian Navy Primary School.

She went to Rivers State Secondary School for her secondary education, in addition to the Nigerian Navy Secondary School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Mercy is the 4th child out of 7 children, her passion for acting was kind of inbuilt as she has been developing an interest in acting right from a young age.

She attended her schools in Nigeria and started a booming career in which with her talent and skill she was able to attain success in her area of career.

When she started her movie career she started acting as a house help who was possessed by a demon.

Right after her secondary education, she auditioned for a role in the movie titled “The Maid“(2004) and subsequently acted in other movies such as Hustlers, Baby Oku in America, and War in the Palace.

On April 1, 2017, she was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Kogi state governor on entertainment, arts, and culture.

Mercy Johnson made her debut as a film producer with The Legend of Inikpi. She has acted in over 100 movies since joining the industry and continues to work as a producer, director, and actress.

Nollywood Actress, Mercy Johnson got married to Prince Odianosen Okojie at Christ Embassy Church, Oregun, Ikeja Lagos on Saturday, August 27, 2011.

Okojie is a real estate agent, car dealer, hotelier, and politician who hails from Uromi Local Government Area, Edo State. He recently won the election as a Member of the House Of Representatives, Esan North-East/Esan South-Esan Federal Constituency. He’s the Chairman of the Henod Group of companies.

On August 29, 2012, Mercy Johnson’s spokesman officially disclosed to the media about her pregnancy. It was an exciting moment for her fans as there have been several rumors and speculations surrounding her pregnancy.

She gave birth to a boy on October 15, 2014. Mercy Johnson won the best actress at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2013 which was held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Eko Hotel and Suites.

She won the Best Actress Award With a movie titled “Dumebi The Dirty Girl“. On November 3rd, 2013 Movie Marketers threatened to blacklist her in the industry because of what they saw seemingly as her “high demands”
